What we collect on this website
Always on, no cookies. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits without cookies and without personal data. We also log a few first-party events of our own — a visit, which sections of the page you scrolled far enough to see, clicks on the buy button, and whether you tried the demo — together with your country and any UTM campaign parameters. No identifier is stored, so these cannot be tied back to you or followed across sites.
Only if you allow it. Microsoft Clarity records how the page is used — mouse movement, scrolling, clicks — so we can see which parts confuse people, and it sets cookies to do so. Google Ads tags, if configured, set cookies to measure campaigns. Neither loads until you press Allow, and Google's cookies stay denied until then (Consent Mode v2). You can change your mind by clearing this site's data in your browser.
The waitlist
If you leave your email, we store it together with your signup source and any UTM campaign parameters, your country (from Cloudflare), the page that referred you, and your browser's user agent. We use this only to email you the download link and launch news. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
The BaseBar app
The macOS app has no account, no sync and no analytics: your notes never leave your Mac.
It makes exactly one network request. Once a day it downloads
basebar.app/version.json to see whether a newer version has been released. That
request is a plain download of a static file — it carries no identifier, nothing about your
vault, not even which version you are running — and you can switch it off in Settings.
